My tuxing compressor

I spent some quality time with my compressor today, I’ve had it at least three years, but I’ve only been able to use it for the past few months.
Rough shipping and handling of my tuxing caused it to get broken on the way, after a lot of complaining to the seller and getting lots of spare parts I have plenty of spares.
So I’ve been running it for the past month and I’ve been getting some gunk build up and I’ve had very slow fill times, like 10 plus seconds to pressurize my fill hose.
I started trouble shooting and found that there was plenty of pressure being generated by the piston, new piston rings were installed 3 days ago. Anyway there was plenty of air pressure coming up into where the gauge is installed, but the air is partially blocked inside the cooling jacket. The tuxing I have rarely gets excessively warm, but I’m also running it in a garage that is around 40 degrees.
There are so many places for blockages with this cooling jacket though, and I think I found it.
There is a tube that air passes through, it has a sieve at both ends and a stack of cotton disks. Those disks are completely saturated in oil and they are hard, I imagine air has a difficult time passing through. I’ll probably look for a suitable replacement. Meanwhile my original compressor head is installed and working, there was gunk in that one that prevented any pressure to build up.
So I like my tuxing when it works, I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting a yong heng to go with it, I’m going to avoid the vevor or unbranded compressors.
I’ve read about other people’s success like topping off scba tanks in 20-40 minutes, obviously depends on starting pressure, but it has been taking me 5-10 minutes to top of my Hatsan Hercules from 2000 psi up to 3300. So obviously I couldn’t leave my compressor alone.
Since switching out parts the pressure coming out is much better.
No rants today.

Are you sure there are no leaks any place. My compressor will take for ever to build pressure if I do not make sure my small filter is not tight.

I do regularly check for leaks, I haven’t found any yet.
All my fittings are tight, not excessively tight, I have a few threaded parts with Teflon tape on them.
It’s difficult to tell without any specialized tools but since working on my compressor today I feel like the output of the compressor is as strong as the air that is being compressed, if I take off the gauge and run the compressor the air will shoot out the top instead of being redirected through the cooling tubes.
The pressure now feels the same to me.
