I have perfectionist tendencies but rather than always be frustrated have taught myself to be somewhat less organized and messy. I have to intentionally let things go. When I do clean up and organize it takes a long time to get things EXACTLY right. When I was working it always bothered me when co-workers and bosses thought things were "good enough". I have always had a hard time settling for "good enough". I have never lost a wallet or keys and know where "things" are because they are in their place. The one thing that drives me crazy if I let it about my wife is that she puts things in a different spot almost every time, it is especially bad in the kitchen for me. NO it really does bother me! It makes no sense there was no room there BECAUSE she filled it with something else!Deep breath .... BUT I love her so I will deal with it and know others have a lot worse problems with their spouses.
My daughter's curtain rod pulled away from the wall a little. She texted, "Houston we have a problem!". No problem, I've got every kind of anchor imaginable........except my shop is so cluttered I couldn't find them. Out of absolute necessity I cleaned up my shop today, I could hear my airguns calling, but I was on a mission. Anybody besides me hate to straighten their shop?

Anybody besides me hate to straighten their shop?Back in the early 2000's, people in this area were building barns/ workshops and building apartments within the structure. I had a husband at the time, and we did the same, so what I live in, is a large metal structure that has a huge workshop area, an apartment, a detached utility room/ guest room, and another separate man cave under one roof. My workshop area needs to be cleaned BADLY. Unfortunately, I have been working so much lately that I have not had time, and it's driving me nuts!

It IS nice to be able to step out into the shop and have such a large area to work in. One of the main reasons we did it, is that the cost was so low. At the time, steel prices had not sky-rocketed, as they did the next year after we started building. Now....the workshop area itself is not climate-controlled....just the enclosed apartment, utility, and man cave. It's a very practical arrangement, but much more than I need these days. I still see a few of them going up around this area....there are two really nice ones just down the highway from me.
Betty Lou and I often sleep in separate rooms. But that's because Rambo kicks one of us out of bed... or is it because I sometimes snore ... nope, definitely Rambo.
We were married for almost 30 years. By that point, a little separation was a good thing! LOL
