Hoosier Daddy,Well,..... did you get your (pigs-in-a-blanket) fix on the other day?
Yesterday down in Huntington Beach I had the BEST Spicy Chicken sandwich ever. It was made with a whole large chicken breast and was spiced with ghost chilis. It was their extra hot, but they have one hotter that they call "Fire" it is Reaper spiced.I complemented them and they said oh you had the extra spicy? Here try the "fire"!, and handed me a free Fire Chicken Tender, so I did get to try the "Fire" chicken tender and it is Hot. I brought it home because I was already stuffed. The sandwich came with two sides and I got both as the Loaded Potato Salad and could only eat one with the sandwich. I just ate the whole Fire piece and felt like my forehead was a little sweaty and while it was not more than I can handle the after burn on the tongue is more than I have ever had before with any spicy food. I think I will have the "Fire" again, because a few minutes later and I am craving it. I feel like it gave me an adrenalin rush, which I have never had from food.
NOT CORN DOGS My wife had some errands to run and came in and told me bye. About 5 minutes after she left she called to tell me she fixed me two corn dogs in the air fryer and that she forgot to tell me. As we were talking I walked into the kitchen, but the plate was empty and Hank had a guilty look on his face. I told my wife there is just an empty plate, to which she remark those were awful hot for Hank to eat. Hank is great indoor dog except the any food left on the table or counter tops is just the right height for him to be tempted and he can't resist temptation if no one is watching, LOL. Oh well I get something better to make up for Hank's error.
3 grand daughters over for me to watch tonight..."What do you want for supper?" says I."STEAK and Mushroom's!!" they all yelled in unison... I think there was a discussion before I got home. "OK, I will fire up the grill" I said."Oh G-pa.. can you cook them on the 'black pan?"So... 5 sirloins on the cast iron skillet with sliced button mushrooms, and baked Sweet Potatoes for the 4 of us. That leaves one of each for my tomorrows lunch. My desert was a Schwan's Fudge Vanilla Cone... imagine a classic "Sundae Cone" without nuts on top... That's as close to heaven as I can get.
Beef fajita burrito with grilled onions n peppers that was topped with queso, guac, pico, salsa, beans n rice. Yum!
