Title: An honest review of Rick Willnecker
Post by: melvin on March 05, 2021, 04:50:36 PM
I bought a seal kit from Rick last year.  His kit was missing seals. When I called him about the issue he assured me he hand picked those seals in a condescending manner.

He concluded that he missed the said seals. He told me he would ship me the missing seals.

I told Rick that since he was shipping me the replacements I would buy another seal kit and he could ship it on his dime since it was his error that required shipping.

He charged me the shipping on my card anyway which left a sour taste in my mouth.

I thought about leaving this review for a year.

I probably wouldn’t go back to him over him stealing shipping charges from me.

:/

Glad I got that off my chest. I know a lot of you guys here talk highly of him and that is why I waited so long to post this.

I received communication from him today that left a rather bad taste in my mouth....
After he told me that he had some parts I sought to equip Crosman pumpers with wood furniture,
I was informed that he didn't sell (obsolete) parts to "people who want to make money on the net."

OK...............

I am kinda working on replacing the plastic furniture on Crosman pumpers with wood.
The original Model 1, as well as 2100W and 2200W did not use the current plastic clam shells at the pivot point of the pump arm.
Rather, Crosman used a barrel band and a pump tube plug that had an extended knob out the front.
I have no trouble machining the forearm to match the current clam shells, but like the older style better.
He has some pump tube plugs  p/n 2280-003 if memory serves, but will not sell....to me anyway.
But, it is most probably not a for profit endeavor.......

And, I agree with the notion of being able to do whatever i want with the parts........he would get his price.......

This, along with his attitude, is the basis of my comments.
