Hello all.....I found this site to cure my Purple Martin colony of Hosp and Starlings. I have a Gamo and found it difficult to hold a tight pattern. So, I researched and purchased a Beeman R9 that will be here tomorrow. During said research, I came across this site and found it very helpful in making this purchase and have spent quite a few hours here. I hope my time spent stalking these birds will be productive with this weapon. I'll try to stay out of the way..........

Thanks for the warm welcome!
I received the Beeman R9 today and was wondering if there is any pointers one would share to maintain it in good working condition. I read somewhere that the barrel should be cleaned when new. Does this take a special rod for airguns? Thank you in advance
