Think I've decided on the cf 457 texan ss. More than enough power and short and light too. More than I wanted to spend but worth it
What about the Quackinbush 458, I see it's about $800.
What's a DAQ?
I've got a Quackenbush short .58 rifle and it is nice accurate and powerful. Great for deer but it is a 2-3 shot, not a big bore bench rest 15 round cannon type of gun. It looks like a "real" rifle, blued and walnut furniture with a barrel that didn't start as a DOM tube (not that there is anything wrong with that). Handmade, boutique and one of the original big bore makers. Actually for much of the design, the XP airguns are a copy of a quackenbush with the action (hammer/valve) being threaded on. Hammer system has an internal cocking pin though. It is difficult to get a Quackenbush though.

Look at the very first post on this
So I posted earlier that I was looking for something for coyotes but wasn't worried about deer because airguns were not legal for deer here in Indiana. Well after talking to a couple people in the know we will be able to use them for deer for the 1st time this season! Regulations will be .40 cal minimum and for airbows 300 fps minimum. So what should I get 🤔. Really like the Texans. Also thinking of the Sumatra 909 for the ability to shoot arrows as well but feel with lead ammo would be very limited in range. Also heard it has a very hard trigger. Not wanting to spend much over 1000. Thoughts?
