Nice write up about a very handsome and good looking magnum springer.I like them Hatsans. For the money and in the class they are acting, I think they're under rated by many German springer snobs. But hey, we're talking true magnum springer here to hunt and plink with and not a paper punching German. If you look at Hatsan from that perspective, you'll just understand how fun they are.Looking forward to a more extensive test (also in relation to the cocking effort) and chrony figures.
So I pulled my 6.5 mm Boresnake twice through the 135 bore dry. It collected quite a bit of black goo. Wiped clean, I next sprayed the front of the snake with Ballistol and pulled it twice through the bore. Checking with a light the bore was now clean. The puny breech seal on my 135 is so low it doesn't raise off the breech face practically at all. Learning from posts by Bryan Heimann and others, I think the gun will shoot massively better if I shim the seal. I kinda want to get it done asap, but it would be very interesting and educational to check the velocities both before and after shimming, and that will be a while.
Shane, thank you for your detailed shimming procedure. Very useful!
….The Mod135 also had a freakishly long "pinggggg" after each shot....
