What happened did Sig Sauer Discontinue the ASP20
« on: February 09, 2021, 08:18:03 PM »
Looking at the usual sites yesterday, I noticed the more popular online stores don't even have a link for this model anymore. Did Sig discontinue the ASP20 entirely.

Since it still exists on the Sig website I doubt it's discontinued.  You may need to contact Sig to determine where to buy one, though.https://www.sigsauer.com/airguns/rifles.html

Roadworthy,

Going to do that as soon as time allows. I really still want to get one in .22, tried the .177 not impressed to much power to be wasted on such a small and light pellet. But that's just me and my preference. I am sure others like it in .177.

I ordered one from Krale 3 days ago in .22 and came yesterday in just 2 days!! I was so impressed by the rifle and from the short time shooting it in the backyard that I ordered a second oneast night which I believe was their last one since the 5.5mm(22) does not show now on their site

I wanted to verify with Krale and indeed the second one that I bought was their last .22 in existence and he said it is discontinued.

I think AOA had some in stock. Not sure if discontinued, but maybe on pause.

Well that is very disappointing to hear they may actually be discontinued. I will hold out hope someone pressed the pause button and they will resume production as the world stabilizes.

HEADS UP! Airgun-us appears to be an elaborate scam. Just do a search and a post here in the GTA comes up.

I would give SIG a call to see if the guns are discontinued. I visited their site the other day and they only listed a few of the combos for sale, those being the .177 wood stocked, close to $500. All others were unavailable. My chief concern over these would be any long-term lack of support or aftermarket kits. They seem to be one of those forays like the recent FWB Sporter.

RedFeather,

The other two sites may be promising, unfortunately work has kept me busy so I have not had time to contact them yet. Before I do I want to make contact with Sig to find out if the are discontinued or just suspended until the world situation improves. I have decided if the are going the way of the dinosaurs and possibly having not secondary parts market for years, I am certain I will not pursue this model. My fingers are crossed the are on an indefinite suspension.

Well, since nobody else will call, guess I'll just have to do it, myself. PayPal me $5 🤑 and I'll tell you SIGUSA's reply.

All joking aside, I just talked to a young lady in their customer service department. The ASP20 is NOT discontinued, just out of stock. Guess it's the impact of the pandemic. You can log in and request to be notified when they are again available. Be warned, their price is MSRP. But if you do get an email from them, it's likely vendors like AoA, etc., will have them, also.

Looks like I will be waiting a while longer, just located and purchased a long sought after San Raphael .22 Caliber Beeman R1. Maybe when things improve I will hunt down the ASP20, but for now I will be happy with another old classic.
