I saw your listings never said a word, but wished all parties luck. What people missed on your listing was it was a combo. The Sig ASP20 my son got before discount would have come close to your listing. My sons ASP20 - $399.00 + my Hawke Airmax Scope $250.00 = $649.00 since it was bought locally no shipping cost and No Sales Tax in the Great State of Montana. Therefore, no problem here with your former listings and like you said we live in America, and being born and raised in our country the rights, privileges and freedoms we all enjoy sometimes cause problems such as expressing opinions especially in a Capitalist economy but as you know in America it happens all the time because we are not a communist society in those countries they basically live out the expression “you get what you get so don’t throw a fit and if you do you will lose that too”- just roll with it or as we say in Montana when things don’t go your way - “Time to Cowboy Up”What you missed is that I got angry messages right and left and that the .22 rifle with the beech stock was $489 before taxes for ages up to the point where a few places were left with a couple in stock and were getting rid of them for close to $400. The combo scope was the NEW series of compact Airmax which again was close to $400 till recently PA listed it for $330 without metal flip cap or the honeycomb sunshade. Shipping is through the roof lately so when I asked for around $850 people made me feel like I was steeling candy from kids. I have never received messages complaining about the price or straight up name calling till I listed those two rifles. Why? Because people felt that because they were "used" they shouldn't have to pay more than $250. I will NEVER list them again and as far as the complainers here and other forums I want to see the next time that an almost new wood stock ASP 22 with a nice scope becomes available how much it goes for.. Good luck finding one. I mean it ironically

Not to get into anything but there's really no excuse to contact a seller with negative remarks about their sales price. If it sells, more power to them. If not, they will realize the price is too high. I can see letting a seller know they are way out of the market, politely, of course. Or to make an offer if it doesn't sell. Of course, this is the Internet, after all. Not Miss Manners.
The truth is we are the ones that are setting the new price levels. We know the true value of the older guns, and most of us can clean, lube, re-seal.I can't blame this on EB, or new shooters. I'm aslmost sure we are the problem.Maybe we can start a gate that lets us know if a member is bidding on air guns. That way we don't run up the bids on each other.
An item's value is worth exactly what the seller is willing to take and what the buyer is willing to pay... nothing more and nothing less. I rank Ebay right DOWN there with Facebook... I see more scams than anywhere else.
