Well is it just me, Eprey prices for vintage Crosman air rifles is just ridiculous. Saw a rusty, weather beaten, non functioning Crosman 110 for $275 plus shipping really?

The stuff I seek has pretty much gone nuts.
I have managed to snag a 2200 for under $100, but that is rare.
People with 766's , 2100's and 2200's (as well as NEW AM77's and Legacy's) all think they should be able to retire by selling them.
What my old neighbor from West BG Virginia would say..."they think they have found a bird nest on the ground."
Don't exactly know what that means, but I think it applies.
But, 140's and 1400's and the sort are fetching premiums as well.

And, I LOVE the Daisy 880 sellers who offer "Vintage" Chinese made guns for WAY more than Wallyworld sells 'em for...
Someday, when I decide to sell, I should make a fortune (unless I miss the bus)

I watch there alot, I recently got a 4th variant 140 for less than $100, no where near perfect condition of course, but pumps air and shoots. The crazy part to me isn't the asking price ,but that people are willing to pay that and how high people are willing to bid on some things.

There's another nice 2200 up for auction; current price low, but, hold on to your hats when it ends.......
Supposed to be mint w/a ragged box.

The Model 1 is gone,tho........

I am pretty much of the opinion that, in order to get anything reasonable, you gotta be there soon after an item is listed if at a good price.

I keep an eye on that site, but don't find much....loads of drop shippers with stock photos....all priced way too high.
At least on the stuff I seek.

So be it... I find Gunbroker prices (as a norm) to be much more realistic than ebay.
YMMV  ;D

I'm always looking at airguns on ebay. I really had my eyes peeled for a FWB 124. Just saw a clean , non working, standard
stock one sell for a total of $380 which included tax and shipping. Awhile ago there was a Deluxe with all the Beeman paperwork
and invoice. It was a select wood, select barrel angle, select group version topped with a Blue Ribbon scope, Beeman leather sling,
and Beeman muzzle break. Sold for close to $1K.

Some sellers are also asking high prices on the Daisy Avanti refillable CO2 cylinders for thr 887/888 rifles.
These are $36.00 + shipping from Daisy, and there is 1 seller offering 1 for $105.99, but with FREE SHIPPING !!!

Fleabay, from what I've seen, has a good many sellers asking frankly ridiculous prices ... and getting some of them. I wanted to bid on a gun but up popped their firearms spiel telling me that I am not allowed to buy from my state. I tried in vain to reach someone to see why that is so since there are zero restrictions here in Virginia. As a result, I don't even brows there now.

Interesting...I just brought up an airgun auction and used zip 24008 (Roanoke) and it gave me a shipping rate on the spot..........

I sold several guns over the last couple of years on ebay.  All were  seven day auctions with reasonable starting bids.  Got way more than expected on some.  You never know how those auctions will end.  Two or more bidders that really want something, the sky's the limit.

I've scored a few guns on gunbroker, only one on ebay.  Picked up others at antique/junk shops, gun shows and garage sales.

WOW!  I just went on flea bay and saw Sheridan Silver Streaks for over $300.  I think I paid about $20 for mine when I ordered it from a Herter's catalog.  Of course that was in the early 60's lol.

There oughta be a function on ebay in which standard pricing can be shown for listed items which are commercially available at lower prices.
Like wallyworld prices for Daisy 880's that people list for double the ww price,
or CMP pricing on Daisy 883's, or Daisy factory parts prices, etc...........

How could we set that up ??
