Just acquired one of these in near mint condition, other than needing seals. So, figured I'd go for power modification. Last night machined up a new valve seal. It weighs in at 11 grams over the 33 gram factory seal. Also, serial number on this unit is 'D or O 11934'
Very nice! Great result. It will be interesting to read about your hunting experiences with the Trapmaster. I think it will have to be quite close ranges?
You're awesome! Thanks so much for the links!I'll probably start reassembling tonight. Just finished up the exhaust valve half on a big bore pumper project.
Yes sir. It's on here on the machining board.Just getting started with. A few parts finished so far. Work on it when I can, though just started. Making pretty good headway so far.
I was the lucky recipient last week of a Trapmaster 1100. The person I got it from said it did not work because the seals are bad. I plan to reseal it in the near future. Not having worked on a Co2 gun before I was wondering is there a visible o-ring for the Co2 bottles to seat against as I see none in the toggle cap or at the bottom of the tube. Seems there should be but since I have not worked on one or even used a Co2 airgun before I just am not sure. The toggle/cap has an o-ring underneath the captive nut. No o-ring in the base of the tube piercing pin.The toggle/cap outside slotted screw is REVERSE THREAD. Mine was super stuck. Chucked the cap in the lathe and used a flat piece of steel in a tool holder to unscrew the slotted screw by hand using the lathe chuck for torque.Made a tool for the inner captive nut with flat steel. The base piercing pin has a captive nut, but that is only there to retain the piercer and the filter screen that lie beneath it.
