Is it mounted on a break barrel air rifle? If it is it sounds likely that "Barrel droop" is your problem. You can buy scope mounts that correct for barrel droop or you can shim the rear mount with a piece of electrical tape. etc It's a Stoeger X5 breakbarrel. Thanks for these suggestions. I'll try the electrical tape first. My bestAlan
What rifle are you shooting? What scope mount are you using? If using a droop mount it could be over compensating for a rifle with no droop.
Could be the height of your mounts which could be part of the problem. How high is the center of the barrel to the center of the scope? I do not have that scope, but I would guess you could use low mounts as the OD of the scope isn't very large. I don't think the issue is barrel droop, that would cause the POI to be low. These are medium to low mounts. If it's not barrel droop, I can try changing mounts. Could it be a defect in the scope?pv
My Hawke Vantage 4x32 AO scope is set as low as it can go, but it's still shooting 1.5 inches too high at 10 yards. What else can I adjust? All screws on the rifle are tight and the scope supports are tightened properly. Thanks

I wouldn't add any oil to the turrets, Once you get it dialed in, you will not likely need to adjust it too often.pv
