I’m sure it’s been done but haven’t seen mention of it. So here it is.
If you pop the battery holder out of its lcd screen enclosure (4 small tabs), the circuit board comes out. Two unsoldered contact point are left open labeled F. Short these with a touch of solder.
In the picture you can see the 2S and 10S joints I left open and the solder bridge on the F.
Not for everyone but being over 50, I can relate to F much easier.
Btw, 65C = 149F

I don't know what a Yong Heng is but that is exactly what I did to the board for our chest freezer thermometer. They must use that thermometer in everything.

Great hack, didn't know it was that easy. I had bought a few F thermometers from Amazon for mine.

I was hoping it would be that easy, or at least give an option when I was disassembling it. I actually had the top off to add a single plug drop to plug my pump into. That way it comes on automatically.

JIC someone in the future reads this, I recently purchased a backup compressor and apparently the circuit board changed on the temp gauge. It still has the F option though. It’s just moved a little.
I think the other options must be sampling rates. ?
