Just got my new wood stocked Trail Stealth - great Crosman sale!At 10 yards (my garage) it is shooting 6" low (after 2 full 360 deg turns of the elevation adjustment. Shimmed with a bit of foam tape (did not crank down on the ring screws, just snuged them) now 5.5" too low.Thinking I need the open sights, will call Crosman tomorrow (have to go shovel driveway now).I read here someplace should not adjust scope more than couple inches ( I think).Suggestions anyone?

Crank the scope elevation counterclockwise about 6 full turns to shoot higher. If it doesn't shoot any higher......send it back! BTW, Gunny taught me how to dial in scopes over 45 years ago. was on the 100 yard line...couldn't find paper. Range rules were that you could not shoot anything but the target. Not so for the Range Master. He took the weapon and said, "Spot me on that rock out there. First shot was about 1 1/2 feet high at 11:00. He cranked that scope like he was winding a watch! 5 turns down 3 turns to the left! 3 more shots....on the money! Lesson learned! Don't baby any scope. Crank it till it either works...or it doesn't! dave

BillTry these scope rings mounts, I think your problems will be solved,https://www.ebay.com/itm/Monstrum-Tactical-1-inch-Adjustable-Height-Scope-Rings/163724469362I had the same problem, installed these rings, centered the cross hairs in the scope, then used these rings height adjustment to get within and inch or so of the POA,and locked the height adjustment down. When I tested these rings,I found that I had over 32+ inches of adjustment, either up or down, at 25 yds from the level position, with the built in height adjustments of the rings.
