Air stripper/shroud in progess..

Finally got around to make another airstripper/shroud for 1322 carbine.
It is two pieces machined at the same time on a custom 7/16 mandrel I made to insure concentricity.
Since my lathe is so tiny I made it with bar stock for the barrel mount and tube stock for the muzzle end.
I will be making an adjustable cone for the airstripper as well as carbon shroud and turned barrel ring for the breech end.

Mucho progress , My family is away until tomorrow morning so I've been available to be my workshop today a lot.
Still have to make the endcap for the other end of the shroud ,minor detail.
Also have to mill all the vents in the body of the airstripper.
I have to set up my index head to do the holes next.

Nicely done! Shows the little (and now tiny) lathes, necessary for small spaces, can do good work.

Thank you!
On this one I'm trying to make it so that The tolerances are so close that it only needs O-rings to keep the parts together. The portion of the barrel mount and tube need two hands to pull them apart it's very tight.
I machined a slot in the cone for an O-ring to make it easier to adjust since my tolerances are so close ,
there's not much of an issue. I'm only going to use three set screws to secure it.
here is my tiny unimat Set up for milling with a dividing head.
For scale size the chuck on the dividing head is 2 1/2 inches diameter.
