I am looking to upgrade to a long steel breech on my new Crosman 2240, and use the .22 barrel. In reading other posts, it looks like the parts list is as follows:as22500-a013 breech as2250-020 plug 88-089 set screw as2250-015 rear breech screw 2300-034 Bolt, Nickel, Long Nose 1761-018 Handle, KnobI think this is the right breech (rear screw), but I am not sure about the bolt. Is the same bolt used for both .22 and .177?
Thanks for your replies!!So, on the plastic breech on the 2240, the breech screw is at the front of the loading port and is exposed when I pull the bolt back. If that is a front screw, then I think I need the AS2250-025 breech?
The top breech is a Discovery/Maximus breech. It fits 1740, 2240, 2250, 1760, 2260, all 2300 models and 2400KT. It has a full scope rail which makes it the best fit for scope rings and Williams sights.
Yes, I have seen a long breech, short breech, hidden screw, and exposed screw breeches AND most recently a breech that did not have the transverse dovetail for the LPA mim Sight cutout. Pretty sure they were all listed as Crosman parts.QuoteThe top breech is a Discovery/Maximus breech. It fits 1740, 2240, 2250, 1760, 2260, all 2300 models and 2400KT. I don't know why it wouldn't then unless it is an older one with out the notched hammer design in it.
