Title: Questions for 2300/2400 Pistol Owners
Post by: Phoebe on December 16, 2020, 11:14:38 PM
Last night I stumbled across the TKO Site info about mods to the barrel band to solidify the attachment and maintain better barrel to breach alignment.

How many of you have tried this? Did you notice improvement or was it a "no harm/no gain" deal?

I have time on my hands so I'm gonna do it (with shim stock) and learn for myself, but I'm curious about any experiences.

Cheers

Never did it, no reason for me. Let us know how it works out. Dave

All of the 22XX based guns have the same issue, which is a lack of anchoring the front end of the breech. The location of the minuscule 4/48 screw leaves much to be desired. Lots of folks including me have found that the POI drifts. Doing tricks with the barrel band to latch things down has been the accepted way of dealing with it. In your case, what ever Mike @ TKO advises is probably what's best for you.

Thanks. I know the rationale behind it, but just wondered about anyone's personal experience.

You can see the front fore grip screw installed isnt long enough to touch the tube which can be swayed to and fro, I ended up putting in a set screw to snug the tube then a shortened screw for the foregrip.
