Hello Shawn!
There is a monthly match down in Granbury that you may be interested in. It's around 40 miles from Fort Worth...really nice group!
I will get a contact nane for it tomorrow when at my home computer.
I think there is also a DFW group that gets together in the Aledo area, but I am not positive on that.
I work weekends, so am not normally able to go.

There must be a lot of airgunners here. There are almost 8 million people in the DFW area.
It's the fourth largest metropolitan area in the U.S. The average income compared to living expenses is good, and this hobby is not forbidden.
The Arlington Sportsmen's club has an active airgun group, it's nice but it's expensive to join. It is on the southwest side of the Metroplex.

The Garland public shooting range is on the east north east side, but I've never been there.
I think it's $20 to join and $20 per day.

Granbury is farther south and west.

I'm sure that there are more.

Hey Cloud9, is there any information on ag group?

The Field Target matches in arlington are the 4th saturday of every month.  You do not need to be a member to shoot.  The second saturday matches switch between the Pecan Plantation and Dallas Field target Club every month.  This saturday (23rd) we are shooting in Arlington.  December 14th we will be shooting in Dallas if the weather is good.

As Cliff said, there are 3 Field Target airgun clubs in the DFW metro area, with a total of 2 matches per month shooting this game.  There is an air rifle bench rest match monthly at Arlington Sportsmans Club (https://www.arlingtonsportsman.com/) that you can see in the calendar.  You don't have to be a member to shoot the matches; the fee is $10.  To join ASC, the first year is $400 and then $75 thereafter annually.  The match fees are $5 for club members.  There is a 10M air rifle and pistol match monthly at the Haltom City Rifle & Pistol Club, but I don't know any other information.

The only other regular airgun activity that I know of in DFW is the yearly Texas Airgun Show that will occur again in June 2020.

It's an old thread, but being that it's regional I don't see a reason to start a new one. Just wanted to say hey to anyone else who sees this that yes there are still airgunners in the DFW area.

There are 2 Field Target matches in DFW each month.  This month, the first one is on Saturday November 14 at 930am at Pecan Plantation near Granbury TX, and the second is on Saturday November 21 @ 10am at Arlington Sportsmanís Club in Mansfield TX.  David Carlile runs the Pecan Plantation match and can be contacted at papa-club@aafta.org to let him know youíre coming.  I run the ASC match and you can reach me at Jeff-cloud@utexas.edu.

All are welcome.

Okay, is that to coexist with the holidays?
It's usually the 4th Saturday right?

Yes, because of the holidays.  It is normally the 4th Saturday of each month.
