What wonderful weather ! 17 of us had a great day shooting some field target this past Sunday at the IONE area SACRAMENTO SHOOTING CENTER.
Today we went back to our conventional target with reset strings with 2 bells on the offhand lane. Forecast was to get 10-15 mph gusts so the set was biased mostly 45Y and in with IIRC only @ 6 targets of 30 present were scattered about out to the 55 max.
* SPECIAL Shout Out to long time club member FRED B for reworking all of the clubs targets with FRESH PAINT JOBS. Them is Purdry !! Not sure everyone else felt the same ? being they peppered the heck out of them outside the KZ hole ... Huh, maybe just questionable accuracy ? ... LOL
We had 2 brand new shooters join us today shooting loaded rifles and supplied ammo, dope data, seats and sticks ( Hunter PCP ) With help of being squaded with experienced shooters they both shot over 50% !! way to go John D & Dane S for a very successful 1st try of the FT game ... well played !
Setup went smoothly as it always does due too the great help of those present chipping in, tear down afterwards just as painless. Practice went @ 40 min as folks strolled in so the morning was very relaxed for most.
Brief shooters / safety meeting, squad assignments handed out and we're off and shooting a 60 shoot CLUB " For Fun" Field Target Match.

After we picked up the course we had Hot Dogs, chips and cookies & misc beverage options.
1/2 dozen or so stayed after and fooled with other air rifles of just practiced on clubs quad targets and shooting empty brass shell casings scattered about.
THANK YOU to all that made the match today and by the giggles and laughter heard all were having a great time ! Until next months match on MAY 22nd ( Sunday ) here at IONE be well and shoot straight !!
