Hi Ben, I just received my 13 ci HKArmy bottle and it seems a little anemic compared to warm CO2 cans. How did you shim your regulator with washers to raise the output? I plan to use mine with my Javelin and with a souped up paintball gun so don't want to raise it too much, maybe to about 900 psi. by the way, the regulator on my bottle seems to be a bit slow to stabilize. Have you noticed that on yours?

So what I did was loosen the two allen head screws on the top half of the regulator, unscrew it, and there’s a bunch of beveled washers and 2 flat washers. I tried a few combos by swapping the bottom washer for a thicker one, or adding a thin washer etc. in the end I ended up with the original setup with an added washer of 1.04mm which got me to my 1025psi number. I didn’t check it out if the box because I knew it was going to be too low and I have a hand pump to fill it with, so I wasn’t looking to pump it up for fun and drain it again.... as far as slow to stabilize I haven’t used it much and I don’t have a gauge on the regulated side when on the gun as well as taking my time between shots loading it each time etc. I did read some people on Amazon complained of such an issue though along with not being even close out of the box to the 800-850psi range.

Awesome info, thanks Ben. Supposed to be rainy, windy, and a low of 21 degrees the next couple days so I will experiment with some shims.

Today I finally got a chance to take some shots, been down and out with covid the last 5 days or so. It was about 15*F out this morning and I shot about 20 arrows with no troubles at all and got my scope about dialed in. Going to top off the bottle in the morning and shoot a bunch again to solidify my scope adjustments and make sure everything with the gun is good to go. If I have time I’m going to try some 100grain tips also to see how they fly now that it seems to have enough power.

There are mods to boost the fpe on the javelin.

Well...no need to modify the javelin to hpa. Umarex has the new air javelin  pro in pcp. Check out the videos on YouTube.
