Quote from: Back_Roads on January 19, 2022, 11:51:22 AM Sand some off the front sight Or bend the barrel, just saying because I have a 760 with rifle barrel, that had a badly bent barrel when I salvaged it.Do I sand the shooter's right side of the blade? I am also considering part of the issue is the pellets. After filing the hole for the screw I got enough windage for acceptable groups. More testing with my cast pellets is required, but I'm pretty close to ordering a steel breech and Williams sight.

I pulled it straight out of the box with the pellets they sent and hammered sweet gum balls while I was propped against my front porch post. That tells me it's a winner for my purposes.I can't get enough windage adjustment out of the oem sights, but the included pellets group decent. I was getting hole in hole at 20' standing, but 3" to the right. After maxing out windage I still get groups 1/2" to 1" to the right. Was your 362 box in great shape or did it arrive looking like the shipping company tried to fold it? The reason I ask is I have had shippers bend barrels before.

If not they just tap off with a block of wood, chances are if you put it back on it will be better aligned then they sometimes get it on assembly. Mine was way off as seen on the barn, aiming at the lower left of the roof, I was hitting near the big yellow spot on the roof.

The reason I ask is I have had shippers bend barrels before. My box was in good shape but the gun wasn't packed well at all. It amazes me, a company putting so much effort into a new product and then not packing. I am very meticulous when I pack items for shipping. The outer box had wadded paper taking up space but it was all on one side. The gun should have had a bit of packing around it as well, it rattled around, pulverized the foam blocks and wore a hole almost through the box wall with the rear sight.Groups? I was trying several different pellets the day my gun arrived. Observe the bottom row. 25 shots at 20 yards, each with 4 pumps, JSB 14.3 gr domed, a little over 500 fps

I have done the "whap a barrel against an oak tree" trick with many a PB over the years to fix a bend.Remove the front site, pull the barrel and find a super flat surface to roll it on (I just chuck up one end in my lathe and look for rise/fall/deflection) and look for wobble or light under the center of the barrel. Also, check the barrel band, loosen the grub and give the barrel a little back and forth then allow it to find center. I had that issue tonight with a scope on the barrel using a BuckRail scope mount, once the barrel band moves, all your accuracy is gone.
25 yards using the factory peep and propped against a post on the front porch. Given my almost 53 year old eyes, I'm very happy with it.
45 yards using the factory peep and a 6 o-clock hold on the back bull. 5 CPUMs at 8 pumps.
This is the last target that I shot today up in the attic at 30ft. I was shooting my cast 19.6g meplat's.
