I can't say I'm amazed at the accuracy but I really need to put better optics on it. The 3x9 Bug Buster's crosshair is way too thick for precision shooting. After a few mags the CPHP's started grouping pretty well. No groups were bigger than a quarter at 25ish yards. It also likes the JSB Hades and JSB 18.13's but I'm almost out of both...The trigger has to come apart. I adjusted it for absolute minimum travel on the first stage, but every 3rd or 4th shot it was like dragging a cinder block with a bungee cord. This may have had something to do with the groups. The second mug of coffee on an empty stomach probably wasn't a great idea either. With the HS 1/4 turn in from flush I get 3, 10 shot mags from 20mpa to 14mpa, after another 10 to 15 shots it starts to fall off the reg at about 10mpa. 45 shots at about 26fpe. Not bad for $300. Once I order a new scope and polish the trigger I think It will be a real winner. I would like to get the 18ish grain pellets up over 900fps for a little flatter trajectory, so I'll probably try and turn the reg up 2k or so when clean up the trigger.I have an Athlon 4x14 FFP on my Origin and love it, I'm considering buying a second one for the DAR. Does anyone have any other suggesting for a new optic that fits well on the DAR? The Bug Buster was a little tricky to get mounted with the rings I had laying around. It's a bit short, even mounted all the way back and both rings mounted before the breach.
Here is the best 10 shot group at 28 yards with Crosman domes next to a AAA battery.
Thanks guys!
I have not. I probably should though.
I shot a couple cards yesterday at 28 yards with the 30 meter target. It was fun but also kind of frustrating when the random flyer or two breaks the score.
