Glad you're having fun. I had mine for 6 months. I also have review in "ARK".
AviatorAre the picca rails metal or plastic? All the pic looks to be plastic
Well, right now I am kinda juggling scopes. I don't like how high the rings make the scope but I'm not sure if the cheek weld will be comfortable with lower rings. I ordered a set of medium and a set of low rings this morning. And they have the double allen screws for mounting to the rail... I don't like the thumb screw type that came with the gun.I also noticed that the AO on the CP scope I am using right now changes itself out of focus from time to time. It's an older scope and may have seen better days. It's also big and heavy. So, I'm browsing my options of what I have here. From what I know of your taste in quality, you might have a look at the front cocking pup that Troy Hammer is selling.... can't think of the model right now... Kral, I think.... someone will chime in.I highly doubt that this gun would ever make it off your bottom shelf....
Nothing scientific...all I want is to close my eyes, shoulder the rifle naturally, get my normal face and shoulder contact to the stock, then open my eye and end look looking right down the scope. May look odd to have the scope “up”, but that’s the nature of the bull pup.(To be fair, some traditional rifles also came with a really high stock cheek.)------One way of looking at it...every ding/scratch/rain soaking you put on a “cheap” plain PCP is one less you would have put on an expensive pretty PCP. Could stay home and not shoot/hunt, but that leads to "hanger queens".
I been looking for compact side focus scope options without breaking the bank.I thought I found one from our buddy in Canada... until I saw the shipping charge.
