There's always the option of keeping it stock-looking, but vintage-style. Older Cr760 self-cockers had metal barrel bands (with grub screws), they fit on the current 13xx guns. Mike Bakers, Precision Pellet and others should have them at a decent price.

Didnt see anything like that at Bakers and Precision Pellet is undergoing a web hosting change. I will look around for the 760 band you mentioned.

FYI I’m not sure if it’s true with the newer 13XXs but there use to be approximately a 1mm gap between the barrel and the pump tube to accommodate a plastic strip on the older guns. The 760s didn’t have this gap. If you DO get a metal 760 barrel band and put it on a 13XX, you may have a 1mm gap that shrinks toward the barrel band and I’m not sure about barrel fitment on a stock application. No problem with ice maker tube.I myself am going the direction of your first choice on my stock 1982 Crosman 1377 rear cocker.

Spooner there's an interesting set of circumstances at play here: I have one of these metal barrel band, I have a 1322P, and the time and curiosity to check the actual fit of that BB on my own pistol. Well it fits very well, with no gap whatsoever, just like the OEM one. There's no interferences with the metal pump arm or plastic forearm, you can fully open it and the piston cup easily clears the cocking slot, the piston does its full stroke. And about the set screw, I saw they're not available @ JG, but one for a 22xx barrel band can be used, they have the same threads (8-32tpi). If using the 10'' stock barrel with a machined step on the muzzle, the set screw don't have much surface to bear on, but with a longer barrel there would be no problems. As a last note, I'd like to say the pumping was definitely firmer feeling with the metal BB than with the 1322 OEM plastic BB.Some food for thoughts .

From your pictures, it looks like a very good fit. It is interesting that your gun has no gap between the barrel and the pump tube. I have three of these, two P1377's and a P1322. All three have a gap... 2mm on all three. One has the plastic 2289, one has MCA, and the other has the Alchemy band. You are probably right about the downslope of the barrel using the 760 with mine?
