removing a "cocked" vortex piston
« on: November 25, 2021, 03:47:08 PM »
Hey everyone, new to this site...My hatsan 95 just lost power then final cock wouldn't release or fire. I knew the piston was probably cocked so I removed it from the barrel or housing following youtube protocol.
Now, I have removed the Type 1, vortex gas piston, and its in the "cocked" or set position and I don't know if the problem was the piston or a seal, etc. So if the piston is in the cocked position, would you assume the loss of power and then the last cock not firing is a seal issue and if so which one. Be nice if there were a youtube video to show this cenerio but saw only replacing pistons or retro to springer. So advice? Don't want to lose a finger:)
