I had the Williams peeps and a scope on my Hw30. I liked it both ways so much, I wound up buying a second gun. This way I didn't have to flip flop between sighting systems. As far as peeps go the Williams are great and will give you more options for apertures. I found the sight picture fuzzy with the 0.094" aperture that comes with it. I got a 0.050" aperture and that sharpened up the pictures but was a little too dark in some low light conditions. There are adjustable apertures available. Cw308 stated a nice thread about it. I switched my gun over to simpler peep sight system from Tech Sights it has a 0.062" aperture that works great for me. It's a very nice well made sight that IMO looks nicer on the rifle. The only downside is the elevation adjustment is tough without an additional 6 dollar tool.As far as scopes go I'm a big fan of the Hawkes. I have them on all my airguns and a few powder burners too. A Vantage 4x32 with AO and mildots is a great choice for your rifle. The mildot 2-7x32 AO Vantage is also a great choice for a little more money. Either is a good value for their price. I like the genuine Sportsmatch T02C rings. They are top notch, fit the gun well and are reasonably priced at AoA. If you call in the order you can save money on the shipping by asking them to put it in a small usps flat rate box.Fwiw I shoot the scope and peep sighted guns equally but the peep sighted gun puts a big smile on my face more often. Good luck with your R7. They're great guns and my favorite.Ron
