I'm so tempted, but I have a flashpup already... and it is really great...Any suggestions/advice? Why do I need the Akela also? Convince me!
Very balanced ports really does not need regulator. My .22 Akela shoots 50 shots at 30FPE within 2.7% ES.
Very tempting, but I already have a Cayden.
The reason that Benjamin Akela is the only PCP on sale from Crosman (in many months) is because of the new Air Venturi Avenger bullpup.Air Venturi and Pyramid Air recently started advertising the Avenger bullpup at about $400.Crosman wanted to give people a reason to buy the Akela instead of the Avenger bullpup, so Crosman dropped the Akela price to the same range as the Avenger bullpup.Crosman has started to take the Avenger seriously, probably because it cut into the sales of their own PCPs.Competition definitely drives prices lower. That certainly worked for me since I believe that at the same price the Akela is a better deal (5 years warranty, part availability, beautiful stock, etc) than the Avenger bullpup.

How did you tune it to get there (hammer spring adjustment, port restrictor setting, etc)? What pelllet, what is the start PSI and PSI for the 50 shots, also min and max velocity? If you still have them, please post some shot strings.

That was it, done, least effort tune I have ever done. Troy has more tricks for power, but you'll have to work a bit.
