My Orcair died after three months. Hopefully they'll let you keep it, and you can do Frankenpressor experiments on it. I like my GX CS2, but I only have about six weeks on it.
This is probably among the best Travis had his input on the design. https://airgunarcheryfun.ca/jts-gx-e-cs3-compressor/
All 12 volt dry compressors have very short life spans for the price. They are junk and should be avoided.
I received man e-mail from HatsanUSA yesterday, the Spark 12V Compressor is reduced to $359.99 till midnight Monday (11/8/2021). When I click the link in the e-mail, it still shows it as being $419.99, so not sure how you get the discount.
I had one that I purchased used and it lasted be about a year before it failed, but the failure was my fault. I tried to restart it while it was still under pressure. I was filling a larger tank and stopped it to cool off. I should have released the pressure before restarting it but didn't. The motor had so much torque it sheared the shaft on the reduction gear. I will say HatsanUSA service was great, even though I wasn't the original owner, they still sent me an entire reduction gear assembly to fix it. I sold it shortly after that and got one of those Xisico compressors mentioned earlier in this post. I liked the fact is was fully self contained and didn't need an external power supply to work on AC current.
I've had 2 YH compressors as well, and neither one lasted more than a year, and I just fill guns! They also require you to carry a 5 gallon bucket and have a water source to fill it for cooling. For what you are wanting to spend, you may want to just save up a bit more and go with one of the Xisico compressors. Amazon has these and they are essentially the same inner working as the one listed above:Vevor also has this one listed on Amazon for $350, it looks to be a knock-off of the Xisico GX3:Get the 4 year protection plan for an additional $45, you'll still be at or below (depending upon tax) your $400 budget and have peace of mind that if it does fail, Amazon will probably replace it with a new one!

Travis personally converted the first batch from grease to oil. I bought one of the Amazon version at an auction. It works GREAT!!! Very quiet and cool. It comes from the design, it has a gear reduction from motor to crankshaft. This also makes it slow. It takes about 3.5 minutes to fill my Synrod from 1500 to 3000 psi. That is finw with me, I'm not racing anyone. My YH takes one minute to do the same, but is VERY LOUD!

I'm thinking that I might pay a bit more for the version Wes sells since he can help with support and parts. That's one thing none of the other compressors offer. The YH sounds like a great option, but my situation won't support that. When I have a workshop with power, a YH compressor will be one of the first things going in. Is the "Vevor" branded version the same thing? It is advertised as having a 350 watt motor and capable of filling 200-300 bar in five minutes.

YH is considered the best by most folks, but the Vevor would be a close second. Personally, I would not buy any but these two in a water cooled. I use about half of a 5 gallon bucket with no ice or additives and in ambient temps of 90, I have never had any problems filling my guns. I bought the QX CS-3 because I got it at less than half price. It is WELL WORTH full price.

If it is as reliable as the other "Vevor" branded stuff it should be acceptable.
