Received my CMP 853 today and was greatly impressed. Every thing about it was perfect and with the exception of a few scratches on the stock, the gun looks almost brand new. I dry fired the trigger and it is smooth as silk. I realize that this is no new news to you folks in the forum, but I feel good when a deal goes as right as this. I thought I would have to do lot of things to it, but, with exception of mounting a rear diopter, working just a bit on the stock, and giving the barrel a cleaning , I’ll be setting up the chrony and drilling paper.I have a couple of questions tho —Since I have a 953, can I switch the metal parts out if I find the wooden stock too short? Is it worth putting in a 888 trigger or is the 888 only single stageThanks a lot. Happy old shooterI
