This is a Gamo Fusion 10x. The scope is too long if the top mounting rail is mounted the right way. So I turned it around, such that the stop pin is in the slot. Not sure if this would eventually cause excessive force to the scope or the rails. I figure that most of the violent force would be parallel to barrel, therefore, the top rail sticking out like that would have minimal additional impact on the rails/scope. I have not shot any pellet yet. Just seeking some advices/opinions.

Lol.. well two options..
It will work or it won't..
Here's my Gamo scoped I don't have issue and I use like 3 scopes each on there own one piece mount
Do you mean too long that it hits the pellet mag thing or what?
Like this guy?

Yeah, mounted the other way, the front of the scope would hit the magazine holder, or whatever it is called.
What scopes are you using on your Fusion 10x? I'm just trying to find one that the rifle won't kill. Just experimenting.

Sorry I got a whisper fusion mach 1, no mag.
You seen that vid in that thread and the guy had it mounted toenailing on the end of the rail? .. really?
All i can think is get a set back / off set type mount.
Example of one

Lots to choose from just measure how much offset you need to clear the mag.

Your mount will try to slide to the rear due to the second recoil. Although your stop pin may try to hold it in place I don't know if you've got enough grip on the dovetail to allow it to do so. Leapers does have a selection of offset mounts but most are for Picatinny rails. I believe the Diana ZR mount only clamps on about three inches of rail but you need a fairly long scope to use it which may defeat your purpose. I'd use caution with your setup until you've established the scope won't just pop off the gun and be destroyed on impact with the ground.

You'd think Gamo engineers could of seen this issue.
Even on mine without the autoloader that recoil reducing rail and where the stop pin hole is forward my scope is a bit to forward.
At first I had or felt the need to cock my head up to get the right eye relief.
I'm use to it now and you can see I have to mount the scope tube as far back as it can, bit you cant move the mount back .
You could google your gun and look at pictures and vids of what them folks do to avoid the scope clearance of the autoloader clip.
Find a shorter scope , but then if mounted correct on the rrr your back to leaning in to it for eye relief ..
Lol.. from this look at the top right vid picture man can you even slid a piece of paper between the scope and the clip?

Thanks for the responses guys. I tried it out and after 200 shots, the thing is holding up well (both scope and mount); in fact, I got some pretty good groups. However, I'm going to take your advice and try something else. As it, it just looks odd, and likely to cause some ill-effects later on.

Ya, i was going to do a offset for mine cause the scope set forward a bit for me, but i got cheap and lazy and just got over it.
Then i dont have that auto loader to contend with ether.
Good luck..
