Hey guys
It's kinda late for me right now, but I'm looking at a refurbished 125 to add to my collection, they are 130 bucks plus shipping. I see mixed ratings on their refurb quality. What has your experience been with hatsan refurbs and is the chance of getting a lemon big enough that I shouldn't spend the money?
Thanks guys

I got a lemon. There's no "give backs". They have some support for parts. Communication is not their strong point. $130 is a pretty good deal if you plan to work on it anyway. I got a raccoon with mine (head shot at 20 yds) and then took the thing apart and couldn't get the trigger back together and broke a spring. I think I know how to fix itnow but have to use a short slave pin.
The .22 has a lot of power!

I ordered a .25 cal Mod 125 refurb about three months back. Mine came packed in a factory box with a card from Hatsan saying the gun was inspected and attesting to its muzzle velocity. No scope though. The only problem I could find with the gun is a gummy looking blemish on one of the soft rubber grip surfaces. The bluing on the barrel is pretty shoddy but other than that it looked NIB. It took almost four hundred shots to break in but now it is very accurate and much smoother. I’ve just ordered new piston seals for this gun and I will be tearing it down in a couple of weeks, fabricating a new spring guide and possibly replacing or detuning the main spring.
My experience has been pretty good and I will buy another Hatsan refurb.

I've bought several and while they shot nice after I got them, I only bought them for the parts. Depending what you want/need, it's cheaper to buy the whole rifle than the separate parts and pieces of it.

I bought a refurb 125 in .25 recently.
So far its been fine, and no cosmetic issues like rust or a damaged stock.
Mine also came with a "refurb card" and no scope.
The card claims that mine is averaging 770, I don't know which pellet. I assume a 20 grain, for around 26 fpe. It hits steel spinners harder than my .22 Diana 350 does, and thats saying something.
I only have 100 rounds or so through it (its not really a plinker..... ha ha) so I can't say how it will hold up.
FWIW, I bought a .25 because I wanted a "heavy" for short range, not the most flexible rifle. But I think that the 125 would be best in .22

A little update:
With only 200 or so rounds through it, my 125 refurb is shooting accurately @ 31-32 fpe for with no work by me. Not even a trigger adjustment.
I hope to get it to the range this weekend, but it is "pass through the same hole" at 9 yards if I can do my part. Just remounted the CP scope in lower rings, made a quick 3 shot. Called one each center, shading right and shading left and that's exactly how they went.
Thats with JSB 25.4's which it clearly likes.
I'm glad I bought mine. I hope it holds up well. No special reason to think it won't.

Buying a brand-new Hatsan I felt I won the lottery when the gun (H135) had no readily apparent issues. Reports of incredibly shoddy QC / manufacturing at the H factory (rifling doesn't reach the muzzle, magnum gun goes off on its own etc.), up til the present time, could fill a telephone book (remember those?). But, given the appreciably lower price of the refurbs, they seem a worthy bet.

Maybe they've grown out of that over time?
I've bought 4 refurb guns from Hatsan USA so far, and one used Edge Vortex.
With the exception of one refurb Edge having a poor feeling trigger (and I haven't so much as looked at it) they have all been pretty much without issue. The 95 and 125 that I bought seem especially good.
The .25 cal 125 was the last one available.
Here's what it did last night - only 3 shots in my basement. Hard to measure, but well under .200" CTC....
Now I need a good cheap scope for it.
I know..., I know.....

Got a refurbished .25 Mod 125 a little over a year ago from HatsanUSA. Very little communication but it arrived in good condition and in working order. After a thorough cleaning and about 3-400 pellets through it, I'm quite happy with it. Most of the improvement I found was on my end (hold, adjustments, learning the necessity of properly seating pellets in it), the rifle itself seems solid and consistent.

I finally got to shoot my refurb 125 in .25 @ 25 yards today. Very little shooting for group but I did get some in. This 5 shot was the only one I shot to get a legit group, and I did it from a canvas bag full of jumpled pellet tins. It was not very steady.
FYI - the CenterPoint 3-12x44 proved to be junk. The three other shots you see in the image are not part of the group. They're the results of changing the magnification, side focus and ocular focus.
The fixed 6X CP that I mounted on the ASP is working out really well though.
Nevermind - I can't post even a close cropped pic. Group was about .300 high by .400 wide and some of that was definitely my wobbly "rest".
If anyone wants to see (or can post for me) I can forward pics by email.
