*bump*I'm arranging with Stoeger to test one of these. I see that the testing is now a couple years old; maybe Stoeger has tuned it up a bit? We'll see.
I went back and read part 5. I don't recall if I ever finished Part 5. It's a good possibility that by Part 4 I had lost interest in it because of being so hold-sensitive and the trigger.Compared to my Crosman and Hatsans, I just could not enjoy shooting the Stoeger.Looking forward to your reviews on the Stoegers.

I think it's mostly the same as the S4000 and S6000.I had a question from another forum member if the Charlie da Tuna GRTIII trigger would fit the his S6000. I had to admit I didn't know, but maybe it would, because it did fit my old Stoeger X20; maybe he should try it and let me know and I will let others know. He tried it and it works; drops right in. He said it has no first stage any more, but is nice & crisp now, and a bit lighter. That's just how it was on my x20.I emailed my contact at Stoeger and proposed that if he'd let me keep the rifle, I'll make the investment in the trigger to try it out and report back on any accuracy improvement. If it improves, that would help justify any effort Stoeger might want to put into improving the trigger. Heck, maybe they could even just buy the rights to the GRTIII and not even have to do any R&D? We'll see what he says. I really want to like this gun. The stock is super nice. The hardware quality is nice; they even thread-locked the fasteners. The action seems to have real potential; it's just a question of milking that accuracy from the gun despite the heavy "mystery-break" trigger.
