Shot my Hatsan Edge today after I changed the trigger blade and replaced the stiff trigger spring to a lighter one. Tried out a new pellet also, H&N Sniper Medium that was given to me to try.The lighter spring made all the difference, and MikeyB you were right, I had to back off my 2nd stage screw. This has turned into a sweet shooting rifle. I'm just gonna have to shoot it more to get familiar with this super sweet trigger. Thanks again to SteveP-52 for your generosity & MikeyB for your advice.

Today, yesterday, and the day before my R9 using Crow Magnums and Crossman Premiers 10.5gr. What is stunning is the R9! I've had it only awhile and now it is next to my FWB Sport in off-hand accuracy, which is extremely beyond what I expected out of an R9.I am still anticipating the stainless HW35E's arrival, all the time thinking it will be just the right thing a step below the R9. I've come to the opinion the R9 is a powerhouse. I could do with a rifle between HW50 and R9. I don't even want to mention the HW80 because THAT rifle is a Mountain Man's Rifle to kill mountain dwelling sheep......Guess my urge for power is not as much as it used to be! But this R9 really is now "my go to" gun before the FWB on the steel. The FWB is a bit heavier to hold....I looked at the trigger (I took off the stock yesterday) to see that I could not adjust it without the proper tools. All I want to do is lessen the second stage. Anyone know how to do that with "home" tools?
John, I got to shoot a San Rafael R-9 when I was doing avian abatement. My boss let me use his .20 R-7, but the R-9 was verboten except as a "check out what I got". I'd get cocky taking headshots at 25 yards on pigeons with the R-7, so he'd drill one in the noggin at 50 yards with the -9 to slap the smile off my face. At this point, I want an HW-35 more and more, but then I look at the HW-50 and know it would be a step up from my CZ without being the overkill (or expense) of the R-9.

This stainless HW35E Walnut cost an even $500. The same price I paid for the 80 and the R9.If I was to select one after owning the HW50 I'd logically pick up the 35E especially if it costs less than an R9.But I had said "everyone needs an R7" on this site before somewhere and now I have to change that motto toEverybody needs an R7 and an R9!
