He was fast, but the supersonic Destroyer was faster! The Stormrider got it done.

Holy moly Eddie! You got one of the portal hopping son of a gun small furry aliens! Excellent shot and pics.
-
Yes I did! He tried a projectile evading double backflip, but thanks to the supersonic velocity it wasn't enough to save him. :D

Good one Eddie, I did a brain shot on a chipper this morning, don't even know if I should post it, it was literally supersonic with a slug.

He had his chin tucked when I pulled the trigger. That little destroyer didn't exit. It dumped 20 something fpe into him. Hopefully it will clear up some tomorrow so I can chronograph them and figure out just how fast it was going.

I heard some chippers can hit hypersonic speeds for a couple of seconds when they transverse - jump from world to world, so congrats and great shooting!

Here are my results with the Destroyers at 25 yards. Bear in mind that this is propped against a post like you would in a hunting or pesting situation.

Those slugs are a force to be reckoned with, Wayne. Great shooting.

Exactly! I'm just afraid the shock waves from their portal hopping will upset my foundation. ;D

Eddie here's that chipper I was talking about.

It sure got the job done, Wayne!

Good shooting on those chippers. EdinGa, Supersonic Destroyer has a nice ring to it ;D
Wayne52, that's quite a shot there.

What impressed the me most is that it didn't exit. It dumped all the energy and flipped him backwards at least 2 times. I've got it on video but for some reason I can't edit it without the sound getting garbled.

This Stormrider is quickly becoming my favorite spot and stalk gun. It might be time to put a regulator in it and slow things down just a little for more shots.
-
Nice shooting in the Chipper Challenge Eddie! Another one bites the dust! ;D

Thanks, Paul! I've got a long way to go. Looks like they invited all their buddies to my place.

We call that renewable resources! Got to love targets that reproduce! ;D

It is nice to have something to hunt in the off season, but the little buggers are wreaking havoc around here. I caught this one trying to chew a hole in my front porch floor.
-
LOL! Little vandals! Good thing they are too small to use a can of spray paint, you'd have Chpmunk Graffiti on everything! :P

Hoards of chipmunks can really do some damage, most of the big tree's on that state land that I hunt you can see where the chippers root around
the base of the trees and cause them to drop before their time. In my hunting videos you can see all the downfalls every where that I go on that
place. I try to keep the numbers down out there but it's really hard to get them all.

I can't believe that my wife is even on board with me shooting them. She saw all the damage they were doing and quickly changed her mind on how cute the are.

Lol, chipmunks are the reason I got into this whole airgun addiction hobby. I had a couple of multi pumpers (a 2200, eventually replaced by a 880), then got a Nitro Venom to tend to a hoard of chipmunks, and down the rabbit hole I went ;D
Aside from damage to homes (foundation and wiring) they can get into vehicles and equipment and wreak all kinds of havoc. After some ~$2500 in damages at my in-laws caused by chippers, action needed to be taken. PB's were out of the question because of the cattle, but airguns were clear to use, with caution.
Never handled/shot one, but that Stormrider seems like a good rig for thinning the chipper population :D

It's a lightweight, handy little hunter for sure. Out of a dozen or so PCPs it's the one I seem to grab to most.
