Figured this was the best place to ask... Can I mark a particular thread/post topic or pin it so that I can always come back to it?

To answer your question, when you post in a thread, you are automatically subscribed TO that thread, and will be subscribed forevermore. LOL :D
Look at the top of the main page, under where you see

You should see something like this:
Show unread posts since last visit.
Show new replies to your posts.

That is where you can check your subscribed threads. Just click on "Show new replies to your posts.", and it will take you to a list of the threads you have posted in.
