Title: Anyone tried these adjustable mounts?
Post by: HunterWhite on February 11, 2021, 07:10:39 PM
Has anyone tried these?

Adjustable scope Rings
Adjustment Parameter

Minimum Center Hight: 32mm(1.26")
Maximum Center Hight: 38mm(1.5")

Tube / Objective Diameter & Rails

Fits 1 inch and 30 mm tube optics with up to a 75 mm outer objective diameter.

Fits
picatinny rail(5.23mm/0.206" groove width)
and
weaver rail(4.58mm/0.18" groove width)

The liftable structure design allows the shooter to find the most suitable shooting height.

The rings position the center of the riflescope tube at a height of
32mm(1.26") to
38mm(1.5") from the base

As compensation for Elevation adjustment of the scope

An adjustment scale is 1mm, and the corresponding adjustment amount of 100 yards is 20MOA

I haven't tried them but, height might be an issue. They look pretty tall in the lowest position and they are for a picatinny rail. If your gun doesn't have one already you'll have to add the rail and then these mounts on top of that. By time you are done your scope centerline might be 2+" over the bore. That makes for cheek weld and point blank range problems.
Does the gun already have a picatinny rail?
Why are you looking for adjustable mounts? Barrel droop? Long range?
There might be better solutions if these questions were answered.

Edit also those mounts have lateral serrations so any uneven or tilted height adjustments will damage the serrations or bend the scope tube.

My Marauder FT does have a 1913 picatinny rail, but I use medium rings. The Condor needs extra height anyway,  so I use an adapter. Yeah, it's a 25 caliber,  so extra range. Extra holdover.

sounds like you got it covered. Typically for long range stuff people try to get picatinny rails that have a 20 MOA angle milled into them.
If you don't have one already a 30mm scope will give you more adjustment than a 1" scope. I'm sure you already know that. Any way good luck with your project and if you try those rings post a review here.

They're here!
They seem pretty sturdy.
The center part has splines, as does the main part. The allen screw through the middle must be completely removed to slide the center part out. It's tight when the screw is tight. I may need to align bore these if there's much of an offset.

It will be necessary to temporarily remove the scope and mounts from the 1913 rail to adjust the height.

I have examined these pretty closely,  I  expect that these will be good to experiment with different scope heights.
I don't think that these will be good for extra range on the scope because they remain parallel to the pic rail. They would need to angle up or down to avoid damage to the scope.

Looks like they aren't meant to be barrel droop compensating or MOA mounts.

Looks like the scope to be may be squashed if attempting to use it as an Eagle vision or FX No Limits.

Do you see a way to mod or to work as a droop compensating mount short of filing grinding the horizontal steps-?

To function as a "droop mount" for extra elevation I would set these to different heights, the longer one nearer the occular lense, then align bore to the size of the scope tube.
I would get with a machinist for the rough cut, then use the scope Ring Alignment and Lapping Kit from Wheeler.

The reason that I bought it so that I could custom tune the extra elevation to my needs and keep the scope near the optical center.
This is advertised as such. I think it would be very easy with a 1 inch/ 25 mm scope tube because it has plastic inserts to fit 1 inch tubes. It seems kind of tight to squeeze around an 30 mm scope with these at different heights without the plastic insert or alignment work.

I have been using this type of adjustable scope ring, for over a yr+ now.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Monstrum-Adjustable-Height-Picatinny-Pair-of-Rings-1-Inch-Diameter-SR-1-AH/303930134138? (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Monstrum-Adjustable-Height-Picatinny-Pair-of-Rings-1-Inch-Diameter-SR-1-AH/303930134138?)

I could not get enough height on a Crosman 150, I was scoping, put these rings on, set the scope into
center of turret adjustments, then raised the rear end of the scope until I was very close to POA,
finished with the turret adjustments.

Worked very well, for me and I can see to shoot again...... 8) (can't see irons anymore).

I see that your rings also come in 30mm, I'll have to try them, as I have a couple of 30mm scopes,
I want as close to the bore as possible, on my 25 cal's..
Thank you.

I filed the splines enough on mine so there can be a angle without damaging the scope..
