I have a rifle marked VZ4 made in Czechoslovakia. Anyone have any information about this gun.
-
I googled VZ4 czech air rifle and got some hits on VZ47 air rifle military trainers. You could check that out.

Interesting gun, but it is a 4.4 mm military trainer and my gun is a .177 cal break barrel.

Sold mine two years ago. Not many imported as far as I can tell. Mine was accurate, shot 7gr pellets in the low 600s and did not have scope rails. The sights were hard to see so I let it go. If it had a way to mount a scope or peep sight, I might have kept it.

Are you sure it does not concerns the VZ47 or vzduchovka 47 ?

Whoops, an error. My gun is actually marked ZV4, not VZ4. It was purchased many years ago from an importer who brought in a bunch of "junkers" from Europe. They were sold in lots of five as they came from the container. My lot included a Rossi, two IZH IJ 38, one IZH IJ 22, with plastic Soviet Union domestic stock and the ZV4. The IZH 38s were in decent shape so I refinished the better ones' stock and resealed both. A gas spring from a guy in Izhevsk was installed in the better gun. Even though far harder to cock than the original spring, it made almost no difference in power. I should have expected this considering the very short piston stroke.
