Umarex is eliminating all the excuses that are keeping people out of the PCP game.
They opened the door with the Gauntlet and now knocked it off the hinges with the Origin.
Accuracy, Power and independence from complicated fill solutions, what else is there besides an optic and ammo.

That will be next, mark my words.
Nice demonstration Trav

Looks like a great gun.  I'm new to the air gun world but what a great time to get into this wonderful sport! This gun reminds me a lot of my avenger. Wonder if there made in the same factory??? With guns like these its hard for me to spend $1000 plus on a high end gun. Looks like another winner!!!!

I am not often impressed with entry level airguns, they always seem to have something simple that they did not address.... This looks like a quantum leap forward, and of course I am extremely curious as to how the "Ever Pressure Air System" will lend itself to tuning.... I would guess that the shroud and baffle mean it won't be available in Canada until and unless Umarex decide to offer a "loud" version.... but you can bet I want one to play with....  8)

Great review Travis !!!  I wasn't aware of this gun until recently after I had already bought my Avenger which is a fantastic gun as well.  I see also in other threads that this gun too is manufactured by Nova Vista (Macau China) that's really been excelling in PCP's recently.

I ordered my Origin from Umarex this past Saturday, and it showed up today. I got home From work and unboxed it ,and through a scope on as soon as I could. The only thing that's a real pain( literally) is that I have a Hernia, and I can't pump the stupid thing.😣So what's a grown 45 year old man to do when that happens you may ask? Well you get your 12 and 14 year old daughters to start pumping.😂 I do have some pride left so when they got the pressure up to 2500psi I told them They could stop, or in reality when my oldest daughters feet were totally of the ground and she couldn't move the handle anymore I said good enough. My girls must love me I didn't even have to bribe them.I did get to mostly site it in and chrono. a mag and a half.  Love love love the gun so far. The smack of the pellet on target is twice as loud as the gun, and JSB 18.13's averaged 908, and Neilsen 21 grain slugs 850, that's about 33 ftlbs.  Can't what to really put the gun through its paces. Hope my girls eat their Wheaties😁.

Here is an iea, about using a lever attached to a wall or support frame, to make the pumping effort easier, a popular option before the "cheap automatic compressors hit this side of the world"

And here is almost everything you might want to know about hand pumps and more  :o

Are there any less expensive alternate compressors out there?
