We beat the heat !!
With a throng of early birds waiting at the gates before 8:00am the Sac FT gang makes a rush at getting set up ... some practice done and we get the match going by 9:30
WAY TO GO SACRAMENTO !!!
17 brave souls made it out from threw out Northern Cal with Lonnie S long hauling it from Santa Cruz .... We so love this degree of commitment
Course was set up to be rather speedy in getting it shot with at best estimation of 30ish troyer. 1/2" targets X3 inside 15 yards kept it aim small miss small serious, those mid range some view as easy 1" in the 30-40 yard ranges kept many on there toes with some 1 1/2-2' at 50 yards rounded off the 48 shot course set at today's venue.
Results were a slew of VERY good scores by all classes banging away at the steel quarry. Think a good balance of difficulty was present with the less experienced shooters making a better than average hit percentile & the clubs top guns right at the top or near it down nary a few hits of cleaning it.
Have to give Cameron a shout out ... He was CLEAN until his last lane and LAST target, LAST shot ... with an audience of semi silent hecklers the target stood in defiance !!
Today's scores are as follows: ( 48 possible )
WFTF PISTON:
Son Lu 46
Lonnie S 41
WFTF PCP:
Riz M 45
Gabriel L 44
Open PCP:
Dave C 46
Fred B 45
Dana W 42
Tom K 30
Hunter Piston:
Robert K 35
Hunter PCP:
Scott S 48 *Cleaned Course
Cameron K 47
Martin 46
Jack C 44
Rob R 40
Steve D 39
Frank W 31
Jim M 20
After we're done The Sac Vly FT crew tore down the course super fast allowing all to escape the heat in the club house where sandwiches, drinks, chips & cookies awaited.
Thank you Jack C & Robb R for taking care of this while our leader Jim C absent from today's match was in Ohio shooting the Pyramid Cup FT match.
To All our Loyal & Hard working / Shooting members .... THANK YOU for coming out on this blistering hot day making Augusts match another successful one !!!
CYA all in IONE next month

Thanks for a great match and everyone that helped out!
I think I may have figured out my gun prep recipe (Finally)
Whoever wants to look at the biggest goofs scorecard I attached a picture. I misranged the target. Held for 53, target was 50. First shot snuck in. Thought I had it ranged right, so held the same. I guess one can only have so much luck!
BIG shout out to Mr. Clean! All targets worked flawlessly, I believe the only cold lane was called due to a clamp slipping off of Foxy Roxy while Frank was shooting.
See Y'all next time!
