I just got a couple of used Chrome Moly (steel, not chrome plated) 9oz CO2 tanks. One of them has some ugly paint, but both look to be in reasonable shape with no dents or heavy scratches. I want to paint the tanks, and am wondering if anyone has experience with removing the original labels and whether or not there have been issues with getting the tanks refilled at your favorite paintball / CO2 shop because of missing labels. I have a million questions today...Steveoh

As long as you can still read the date of when it was made or last tested you should be ok. It's HPA tanks that get all the attention. If your CO2 tanks are expired don't bother getting them retested, it's usually cheaper to just buy new ones.
