Problem with Probes/Adapters

I have an FX probe that came with my T12 Whisper but have encountered a problem. I also purchased an adapter from PA (linked below) that is supposed to screw onto the threads of the FX probe, and then provide a Male quick disconnect foster fitting that will fit my air-hose assembly on my tank.
https://www.pyramydair.com/product/air-venturi-male-quick-disconnect-1-8-bspp-female-threads-steel-rated?a=3550
Now the problem, this adapter
will not fit
the FX probe! I am not sure why but the theads of this adapter are not the same as the threads on the FX probe. I can get it screwed on about two threads before a tremendous amount of resistance builds up and the threads get stuck. According to everyone I have heard from, this adapter should fit the FX Probe. Is there something I am doing wrong? how are you guys filling your FX guns that use the probe? I have some pics below that hopefully illustrate what I have and what it wrong with it.
FX Probe...
Air Venturi adapter...
Adapter only screws in about 2 threads. Definitely different threads.
Thanks for any help in advance!

We got this resolved. We recommended that he get a stainless steel adapter. Andy is fortunate enough to live near tim @ mac1, so he's going to stop by there.
The threading on the the fx probes is BSPP 1/8 for anyone else looking to do this.

The thread on the Air Venturi adapter is also BSPP 1/8. One of the two parts have a bad thread? The reason I ask is I ordered the same adapter from PA for a Rainstorm probe and now I'm wondering if I will have a problem too.

I used that same adapter to mate my AA510's filler to a foster equipped Benjamin pump and Guppy tank with no issues.

the new Foster male adapter from PA has British thread inside...it also has a plastic sleeve, eliminating the need for a teflon tape.
In the past, I used to jam (like you are showing on one of your pictures) "very close" American thread on British thread - it works fine with my Logun adapter.
