I'm sure you all have heard this. A B3 is a finished kit of unfinished parts. I guess if the factory finished them the way we re-finish them they'd cost a lot more and we wouldn't have the fun of working on them.
However, I still use needle nose to load them, it's an easy ,cheap, insurance policy and keeps your hands clean. Mine all shoot great and are pretty accurate. Harbor Freight has great deals on the needle nose, I think .99 a pair.
Might be a dumb question. I have an old B3 and was wondering ( after hearing stories over the years) how dangerous is it?
This is another load of bull shoot from the internet....there was one incident about 25 years ago before the beartrap was added to the B-3 rifles. If anyone can show me a real injury causing someone to lose a digit since then please do so...want the hospital report etc.
30+ years ago I was being a dumb kid and had the rifle between my legs as I cocked it.Brokenrod, never has a name been more apt...
The name actually comes from a bad day of smallmouth fishing where I snapped 3 rods in one day. But if the shoe fits....
