Tough decision on .22 CO2 pistol/rifle?!? (To China gun or not to China gun?)
markjs:
A big part of my wants another 2240XL, but they have gone from like $99 last I got one, to like $115 and can't get it from Crosman at all. That would be a lot of buying other stuff to upgrade it with, before I know it, I'm into the "dang" gun $300. I mean I want to, but do I REALLY?
The other option, I've almost talked myself into is this (Artemis CP2):
Now I realize you can get the Chaser on Pyramid for roughly same price, but that comes with no magazines, and the silencer glued permanently to the rifle barrel. Why bother with that when this is the same gun with the silencer not glued, and works on the pistol or rifle barrel, and comes with two mags? Plus the bolt is on the left, which I prefer for a pistol.
It's the closest thing to a Chinese "Lego" gun I know of, though I think it pretty much comes with every upgrade already installed, save for optics.
I guess I'm looking for opinions of folks who have owned both? I want this in .22 for sure, not .177.
Is the CP2 as much better of a value as it seems? Can repair parts and seals be obtained easily through Pyramid?
Anyway, I am only doing this pending sale of a bicycle I have or I can't afford it, but should I go with the China gun first? I'll eventually get another 2240, but I'm sure leaning Chinese first...

Plus it looks like a super spy secret agent rat sniper rifle! The Crosman Ratcatcher looks cool, but this is cooler yet!
Back_Roads:
I'm a big fan of the Chaser platform, have a few no duds in the bunch.

No China gun. But that’s just me. I’m very pro Made in the USA.

Ditto.
Your letting $15 keep you from getting a quality US made gun. ???
