Mounting a Hawke sport AO 3-9X40 IR. Medium or high rings? I was going to buy the two piece "UTG universal air gun/.22 Accushot" with the two mounting screws. Do I have lower options than the mediums? Any suggestion appreciated. Thanks.

Mediums will work fine. I believe that low's will only work up to a 32mm bell.

Yup as a matter of fact if low rings where avalible they would likely work too.
But the med will also give good balance of lo mount and room for fingers to load pellets.

Great; thanks for the fast replies. Mediums it shall be. I was thinking of the supposed issue of pellet loading also but forgot to mention it. Is Optics Planet a good place to buy the scope mentioned as far as returns go if something is screwy with it. They have the cheapest price on the Hawke sport AO 3-9X40 IR I was looking at. $110.49 with free ship after coupon code: KTHX15P The code listed is for 15% off "popular items" whatever that means but may not work with other stuff.

i've got 30mm leapers 2 piece medium mounts on my DBO with a 4-16x44 accushot with the SWAT wheel and my fat sausage fingers have no problem loading it . i did have high leaper mounts on it when i tried the CP 4-16x40 , the mediums load just as easy for me and look better IMO . heres a pic of each showing the clearance distance from the breech/loading port for comparison .
