The lack of punctuation in long winded posts is what drives me nuts if I have to weed through and entire paragraph without so much as a period I naturally assume it is voice text not typing the least you could do say the word period either that or you never inhale when speaking too others then again perhaps have mastered how to continue talking while inhaling either way a page of this sort of rubbish and I get a headache trying to figure out what you are saying or maybe asking
I try to spell everything well. I am fond of using proper grammar; I absolutely adore semi-colons- perhaps one of the greatest inventions of man. I an excellent speller and generally have impeccable diction. Alas, I am a horrendous typist, and with limited flexibility and function in my left hand, my 5-finger-typing involves one left index finger, and three right fingers plus a right thumb.I often live with just making do, but I've replied to my own CEO's emails with grammatical corrections. Professional literature MUST be perfect; there's no excuse for anything but perfection except laziness, which is NOT condoned. When it comes to forums and the internet, I am more forgiving. We are not all required to write documentation for professional means, nor do all of us have other hobbies that include writing short stories, prose, and poetry. Since I am and I do, I try to live up to my own insane standard, but I often fall short. Thus I'm forgiving of others. But heck-a-mighty, PLEASE spell proper names correctly! It ain't Crossman or Hatsun or Beemon!I am also fond of acronyms- as long as those are spelled correctly- but sometimes I feel as though the GTA is operated by a government agency. Regarding nicknames- using the term Kiwi to denote a person from New Zealand has been part of the US lexicon for several decades that I'm aware of, but knowing it bothers a New Zealander will shape my further conversations. I often LAWL at the state of things, hearkening back to the ICQ days on AIM. Sometimes I even ROFLMBO, though sometimes I just SMH and ponder the shift in language worldwide from words back to pictograms. Emoticons such as emoji can carry a meaningful conversation provided a higher-level comprehension is not required. However, they do convey emotional state, something the basic literary concept oftentimes leaves out. Using both in context provides greater clarity.

as I discovered why God put woman on this planet ( distraction & confusion ) the correctly written and expressed use of the English language went by the wayside.
Those of you who do write/post via mobile devices... I'm in awe of your abilities. I sort-of work in IT and have extensive knowledge of using mobile devices, but my phone is used mostly for GPS and a mobile access point. It's just about the last platform I'd choose for anything.
