Good day guys
Can you give me some advice on which one you guys think is the better rifle I am about to purchase my first PCP.
The at44 a is tried and tested platform and the flash is relatively new . I am unsure as to which rifle to get . I will be using it primarily for hunting.

The At44 has been around for a long time and is a great rifle. I have one in .177 and it’s very accurate and powerful. But, it’s also heavy. I have the short, non-QE version so it’s probaly the lightest of the bunch and it also comes with decent iron sights so you don’t have to have a scope if you don’t want to.
I don’t have the Flash, but have heard it’s very light weight and accurate. I have also heard that it is a very easy platform to work on if needed.
If cost is a contributing factor, I don’t think you would go wrong with the Flash, but either one would be a lethal hunting rifle in any caliber.

i have two AT44s(one QE and one non-QE)in 25 cal and they were the best out of the box for hunting rifles I have.i don't have a flash so it hard for me to grade that rifle.i have three Mrods and a 25 cal Sumatra carbine which are great rifles but straight from the box to hunting the AT44 rifles may be a little heavy but the JSAR light air tube helps a lot,the JSAR light air tubes may need some work to install.

I have many at44 , that Flash looks so darn tempting and no added cost to lighten it.
Also have the JSAR AL tube on one , it does make a difference. I wouls say if you can find a deal on an AT44 for less than a Flash go for it , otherwise get the flash , and report back to tempt me more

Never had an AT-44, but I have a wood stock, flash pup in. 22cal. and I absolutely love it. Small, light & powerful. Get 40 shots in the low 900fps range. No complaints & a referb cost about $280.00..... Hard to beat.

I don't think you could go wrong between the two guns mentioned. If primary use is hunting, I'd vote for the Flash. It is so light weight, and still has great power out of the box. The magazines can handle longer pellets too, so you have more flexibility with ammo selection.
The AT44s are tried and true for sure, but heavier. I've put thousands of rounds through the AT44 platforms, and they can be tuned to do almost any power level. Given this is your first PCP, that makes me point you toward the Flash even more, because it is easier to work on than the AT44, and it can also be tuned to do most any job with minimal effort.
I've been playing with the Hatsan guns for a while, and have tuned and modded many of them. I will say that I'd say go with a new Flash, rather than a refurb though. Not that refurbs are bad, but there is always more chance of getting a refurb with an issue is all. But yeah, I vote Flash
