Hello. I have a crosman 600 that will not fire and the action is frozen There is a live c02 cartridge installed and I'm asking anyone who might know how to safely release the gas so I can disassemble it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tom

Is it possible for a pellet to jammed in the barrel/feed arm area? What position is the feed arm in?
I suggest putting the safety on and backing out the screws that hold the feed arm to the cam. That might allow enough play to push a pellet back into the feed arm (if there was a stuck pellet.
Hope this helps.

Hi Floyd. Thanks for responding. There is no stuck pellet. There is a broken part in the trigger assembly (pawl). The part it engages with has advanced past it. I will need to disassemble the gun.

If you can remove all of the trigger group parts to get to the pawl is it possible to pry down the sear, releasing the hammer? This would probably go full auto, but it won't last long!

What condition are the mating parts to the pawl?
Be careful, I could be all wrong here.

The other parts near the pawl are fine. I haven't tried prying down the sear. Thanks

It might be a good idea to clear the trigger sear/spring area on your own terms where you can identify and locate the parts rather than have them jump out when you operate the sear.

Some 600 Sear and trigger Pics. I have 2 more 600's as a reference. I had a problem out in Joshua tree when the sear spring got out of place and the gun would only fire upside down. Took it apart and scratched my head for a whoile before I figured it out. These Pics would have made it easy. dave

Floyd and Dave .I managed to get the co2 cartridge out and started disassembly. I'm going to need a couple of parts to complete the project. I have a seal kit and I have ordered some of the parts. Thanks for all your help. Tom
