Hey Jim,The breech should sit flush to the tube without having to clamp it down. it might be worth removing the breech to see if something is out of place? Maybe the transfer port is seal is pinched and raising your breech up?

Maybe the transfer port is seal is pinched and raising your breech up?as moorepower mentioned above, the radius on the bottom of the breech is made for a 7/8" tube and the 13xx tubes are 3/4". even if flat there is still a potential for side to side wobble. back a few years there were 1-2 aftermarket breech makers who actually radiused them for the tube they were going on...2240 or 13xx . i haven't seen this recently though. some people did "bed " them in silicone with varying degrees of success.peacekj
rws_53 With a barrel band, this issue could possibly cause a problem since the front of the barrel (being attached to the tube) would bend/move relative to the breech and optics if there's any shift in the breech. But if the barrel is floated the optics/breech/barrel would be one unit and not move in relation to each other(if there's any shift between breech and tube) so no accuracy impact.

There is only that tiny breech screw on the front end holding it down though, with the pumping going on and nothing holding the front of the barrel, seems like a gut reaction to me to clamp it with something. If a guy can get away without it though, it sure looks better!
