Title: El Nino
Post by: Trenier on December 12, 2015, 09:07:02 PM
I understand that the weather pattern referred to as El Nino can cause some havoc in the some of the United States, but here in Wisconsin 40's and 50's is unheard of this time a year, but much appreciated. Some mid December shooting today was a good time and well welcomed.

Yes it's been a out  of the norm here in southern Missouri also . High 60s low 70s . Normal is 30-45 . I've been hearing El Niņo is supposed to bring us higher than normal temperatures and lots of moisture thru spring . So hold on if the temperatures drop and the moisture moves in . Could be heavy snow and then thaw . Sounds like a good scenario for some record blizzards if the moisture moves far enough north . Or lots of decent shooting time farther north for the winter . It been about 6 years ago we had 80s in January and the shortest winter I've ever seen .  but let's face it the weather is a mess . We get record rains and lots of flooding almost every year now
