Larry Durham ( LD )theorized a few years ago that on a scratch build SSP, he , at 73 could cock a 2 inch piston.. I really have no idea how , but id imagine he had a design for a modded linkage system that would peak in MA at the same time the pressure peaked.
Thanks Ron,A screw type piston drive would be effortless. It might also be a bit slow and you would carry batteries, rather than charged air bottles.If "self-contained" and effortless were top priorities, then a hand crank via a worm screw might fit the ticket. Or you could just use a crank in place of your cordless drill. The worm would need to be uncouple for the intake stroke, or would make a slow system even slower.
